From Welly to Picton

Okay..i din take a train to cross the Cook Strait to Picton..
There's no way for a train to cross the Cook Strait...
Me n Pp went to railway station as we arrived early at the Bluebridge terminal..
it was raining...n so...we had shelter in the railway station...keke..

There are act two companies providing ferry service...
Bluebridge n Interislander..
We chose Bluebridge as it is cheaper..
but Interislander had a bigger n newer ferry indeed..
Well..Budget still come first...bahzz..

This was our first time taking such a ferry...
indeed it is like a big big cargo ship...
Ship that u can always find near the harbour...

We were act kind of excited n amazed by the size of the ferry..
Wat we tot b4 was a smaller version of the ferry...smtg like this...

These all more like a ferry..lol

While we were waiting for the boarding...

we could see thru the window...

the staff was busy getting all the heavy vehicles on board...

followed by the light vehicles such as ppl travelling v their cars or van...

After checked in our luggage...

we were given two boarding pass...

the whole process is juz like how u checkin in airport...

Then time for boarding the ferry...
Same procedure as u board the plane...
giv them the boarding pass n u can board the ferry...

The ferry was like 3 to 4 storey high..
the view from the deck is juz AWESOME...
But it was quite windy and cold...can't stay at the outdoor area for long...

Inside the ferry..there were a few lounge areas where u can rest n do ur own stuff...there were also movie zones cater for those movie lovers..restaurant n bar are available as well..

The journey from welly to Picton takes abt 3.5 hours..
n pig pp as expected fell asleep on the ferry...haha..

Pp cleaned off her SALIVA...

The scenery along the journey was beautiful as well...

Welly Trip Day 2

Our itinerary told us that we were to head for Picton tat day..

So we wen2 railway station...

Resembles the one in Auckland

This remind me of my nephew, Howie...
He likes train so much...arghh...start missing Howie n Reanne..haha..

Inside the railway station...
clean n spacious...

There was this underpass which can lead to main street...

n of course..city buses which can bring u wherever u wan

Looking around the railway station...

There were up to 9 platforms in the railway station...

BUT but...

i saw this signboard written PLATFORM 9 n three quarter...

i guess this is the platform where u can get onto the train to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry...

Pp was busy looking for tips to activate the platform...

How to open??Where's the spell???Which spell?

haha...soon soon...i'm going to be the 2nd Harry Potter...

hmmm..nope..i dun like the name..

i guess i'm quite hairy...

Finally the rain stopped...
We said byebye to the taiwanese restaurant...
n went for a walk around the city...

When we looked up the sky...
WOww....Rainbow...
Well in NZ, it is quite often u'll c rainbow after rain...
NZ's weather is juz too unpredictable...rain sunny rain sunny...

Me n pp flew down to Welly in the afternoon...

Light snack on the plane: carrot cake+water

When we reached there
the weather was bad bad bad...raining+strong wind..
We can't go for a stroll along the Oriental Bay....
so, we chose to have something to eat at a taiwanese restaurant

There are plenty of choices of food to be ordered...
Much more than the Auckland's one (similar restaurant like taller park, wong kok, etc)..

i ordered a bowl of congee...
sp asked for some curry fishball...

It turned out that the fish congee came in a big big bowl...
After checking the price again...ok..$8..
i shud hav expected it to be a big big 1...haha

Personally, i like the tea choices over there..
玫瑰花茶 n 洛神花茶 are my fav...

I'm BACK to Auckland

After 1 week..hmm..
more accurately is 6 days in Wellington n Picton..
I'm bek to Auckland again...
Tired but fun..
Survived from cold and bloody windy day and nite in Wellington :b
